This small village on Pico Island, ideal for family vacations, is located on the north coast of the Island, offering superb views.
In the parish of Santo Amaro, Terralta, where there is still very little lodging, these homes were constructed taking advantage of the excellent location, unique landscape, cultural heritage and environmental surroundings, where calm and tranquility predominates.
The parish of Santo Amaro on the north coast of the island is 20 km from the main northern village and has mostly a rural population of about 300 inhabitants. Known for its hospitality and welcoming atmosphere, it has as main attractions the natural pools Portinho and Caisinho, and the Furada picnic area. This parish was over the centuries the main naval shipyard of the Azores. There is also the regional handicraft school.
The grounds for the homes were chosen for their natural beauty, flora and the existence of several ruins, which give them a picturesque tone.
This new accommodation set will offer fourteen cottages from one to three bedrooms, swimming pool, a panoramic multipurpose room, a restaurant and a small grocery store in Terralta. It also aims to the conservation of nature, environmental quality and the safeguarding of the historical-cultural heritage and local identity.
